Subscription Policy

This Subscription Policy explains the paid subscription plans, eligible one-time purchases, billing practices, renewal terms, cancellation options, restore-purchase functionality, and access rules for PlantID Pro.

PlantID Pro is operated by ASIP Technologies, Inc. (“PlantID Pro,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

1. Available Access Levels

PlantID Pro currently provides the following access levels:

Guest Mode

Guest users may use up to five lifetime plant-identification scans stored on the device.

Guest access does not provide account-based cloud synchronization. Deleting the App, replacing the device, clearing App storage, or otherwise losing local device data may result in loss of guest records or guest scan balances.

Free Account

Users who create a free account may use up to five plant-identification scans per month.

A free account may provide access to supported account features, including eligible cloud synchronization or account restoration functionality where available.

PlantID Pro

An active PlantID Pro subscription currently includes:

  • 100 plant-identification scans per month
  • 10 AI Plant Care Chat credits per month
  • Access to eligible PlantID Pro features shown within the App

PlantID Pro Plus

An active PlantID Pro Plus subscription currently includes:

  • 500 plant-identification scans per month
  • 200 AI Plant Care Chat credits per month
  • Access to eligible PlantID Pro Plus features shown within the App

PlantID Pro Plus access also satisfies features made available to PlantID Pro subscribers unless the App expressly states otherwise.

2. Monthly Usage Allowances

Monthly plant-identification scan allowances and AI Plant Care Chat credits reset according to the applicable monthly usage period administered by the App.

Unused monthly scans and unused monthly AI chat credits do not roll over into future monthly periods unless expressly stated otherwise within the App.

A submitted plant-identification request may count against the applicable scan allowance when processing begins, even if the result is uncertain, identifies a non-plant subject, or the user decides not to save the result, subject to any specific no-credit retake feature made available within the App.

3. One-Time Scan Top-Up Packs

PlantID Pro may offer one-time scan top-up packs where available in the App.

Where offered, eligible users may purchase:

  • A 5-scan top-up pack
  • A 10-scan top-up pack

Top-up packs provide additional plant-identification scan access and do not create a subscription or grant subscription-only features unless the App expressly states otherwise.

Availability, pricing, account requirements, and platform-specific handling of one-time top-up purchases are shown in the App and the applicable purchase interface before purchase.

4. Subscription Options and Prices

PlantID Pro subscriptions may be offered on a monthly or annual basis.

Current subscription options are:

  • PlantID Pro Monthly: $4.99 per month
  • PlantID Pro Yearly: $39.99 per year
  • PlantID Pro Plus Monthly: $9.99 per month
  • PlantID Pro Plus Yearly: $79.99 per year

The price displayed in the Apple App Store or Google Play purchase interface before purchase controls the transaction, including any applicable currency, tax, approved price change, introductory pricing, or promotional offer.

5. Apple App Store Purchases

For purchases made through the iOS App:

  • Payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled according to Apple’s applicable rules.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple account subscription settings.
  • Eligible refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s policies.
  • ASIP Technologies does not receive or store your full payment card details.

6. Google Play Purchases

For purchases made through the Android App distributed through Google Play:

  • Payments are processed by Google through your Google Play account.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled according to Google Play’s applicable rules.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play subscription settings.
  • Eligible refund requests are handled by Google Play according to Google’s policies.
  • ASIP Technologies does not receive or store your full payment card details.

7. Purchased-Access Status and Feature Availability

PlantID Pro receives subscription or purchased-access status needed to provide eligible paid features, restore eligible access, apply scan limits, and apply AI Plant Care Chat credit allowances.

8. Account Requirements and Purchase Access

A PlantID Pro account may be required for subscription-linked features, cross-device synchronization, restoration, or other paid account features.

Guest users may remain eligible to purchase available one-time scan top-up packs where offered in the App.

If the App requires you to create or sign into an account before beginning a subscription purchase, that requirement allows subscription-linked access and eligible restoration to be associated with your account.

9. Restore Purchases

Where supported, signed-in users may use the App’s restore-purchase functionality to refresh eligible subscription access associated with the applicable App Store or Google Play purchase account.

Restore-purchase functionality does not create a new purchase and does not guarantee restoration where the marketplace account, App account, purchased access, or purchase history cannot be verified.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel an auto-renewable subscription through the marketplace account used for the purchase:

  • App Store subscriptions must be managed through your Apple account.
  • Google Play subscriptions must be managed through your Google Play account.

Deleting the App or deleting your PlantID Pro account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must separately cancel any active subscription through the applicable marketplace.

After cancellation, access generally continues until the end of the paid billing period unless the applicable marketplace states otherwise.

11. Refunds

Refund decisions for purchases processed through Apple or Google Play are controlled by the applicable marketplace and its policies.

ASIP Technologies cannot guarantee a refund and does not control marketplace refund eligibility or approval.

12. Subscription Changes and Feature Availability

We may change future subscription pricing, product availability, included feature access, usage allowances, or plan structure where permitted by applicable law and marketplace rules.

Changes to an existing auto-renewable subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable App Store or Google Play requirements.

The features and limits displayed in the App at the time of purchase or renewal apply subject to the applicable marketplace terms and any legally required notice.

13. Externally Processed Features

Some PlantID Pro features available under free or paid access require external plant-identification or artificial intelligence processing.

Use of those features is governed by the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. Subscription purchase or purchased-access status alone does not replace any permission request required before user-submitted photos, text, or other information is transmitted for external processing.
